Two Labourers Dies After Coming Under Huge Sand Mound in

Tragedy Strikes in Bijbehara Anantnag

Two labourers lost their lives in a tragic incident in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The duo was extracting sand at Gadhanchipora Bijbehara when they came under a huge sand mound.

The victims were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh (55) and Mohammad Altaf Khan (28).

Mushtaq was a resident of Kaigam Bijbehara, while Mohammad hailed from Kerry Traith Rajouri.

The labourers were rushed to SDH Bijbehara for medical treatment.

Unfortunately, the doctors declared both of them dead on arrival.

The police have taken cognisance of the incident and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The incident highlights the risks and dangers faced by labourers in their daily work.
