The accident took place near Bhatyas at approximately 10:25 am when a private mini bus skidded off the road and plummeted into a 200-feet-deep gorge.

The bus was en route to Thathri from Bhalessa when the tragic incident occurred, according to officials.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and found one woman dead on the spot. Another victim succumbed to her injuries later in the hospital.

The officials reported that nine individuals with serious injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Government Medical College in Doda.
