Trio Arrested For Posing As Girl on Facebook to Scam people..

Police in Handwara have solved a Facebook cheating case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of the crime.

According to a statement issued to the news agency Kashmir Scroll, a police spokesperson said that Police Station Vilgam received an application regarding cheating on Facebook through a honey trap and grabbing money.

A case was registered under relevant sections of law, and an investigation was set into motion. During the course of the investigation, three persons were arrested for creating a fake Facebook account and cheating people by impersonating a girl.

The accused persons have been identified as Firdous Ah Tantray, Danish Ah Bhat, and Aaliyan Ah Bhat, all residents of Dohama Vilgam. They were arrested and taken into custody, and their mobile phones were seized.

The police are still investigating the case further. In the meantime, people have been requested not to fall into the trap of cheaters and fraudsters on social media.

The police have also advised people not to share personal details with unknown persons on social media. This is a precautionary measure to avoid getting cheated.

The accused persons used a fake Facebook account to cheat people by impersonating a girl. They were successful in grabbing money from unsuspecting victims.

The police have urged people to be cautious when using social media and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately.
