Tragic Road Mishap in South Kashmir Claims Life of Pedestrian
An elderly man met a tragic end in a road accident in the Pahalgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
According to reports, the incident unfolded at Batakot in Pahalgam when a vehicle, identified as a winger bearing registration number JK01F/1737, collided with a pedestrian. The victim, identified as Gh Qadir Wani, aged 60 and son of Gh Rasool Wani, sustained critical injuries in the collision.
Efforts to save Gh Qadir Wani were immediately initiated, and he was swiftly transported to SDH Seer for medical attention. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Authorities swiftly responded to the incident, registering a case and launching further investigations to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the accident.
