Tragic loss strikes Pattan village, 20-year-old boy dies mysteriously while playing cricket

In a tragic incident reported on January 26 in Hanjiwera Pattan, North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a 20-year-old boy named Suhaib Yaseen, commonly known as Junaid, mysteriously lost his life while playing cricket. The incident occurred on a Friday afternoon in the village.

According to official sources reported by Wattan Daily, Suhaib collapsed suddenly while running to bowl in the playground. Local residents swiftly responded, attempting to evacuate him to the hospital. Unfortunately, Suhaib was declared dead on arrival.

Preliminary reports from the scene suggest that Suhaib may have suffered a heart attack, although official confirmation is yet to be received. An official identified the deceased as Suhaib Yaseen (20), son of Mohammad Yaseen Wani, a resident of Hanjiwera Pattan. The body has been sent to a nearby hospital for legal formalities.
