Traffic update; J&K Highway to remain Closed for tomorrow

The Srinagar-Jammu national highway is set to undergo a 24-hour closure beginning at 8 am tomorrow, as officials initiate road widening works.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban issued Official order today.

Further, This decision was announced by the deputy commissioner of Ramban in a post on X, aims to facilitate necessary improvements on the Kishtwari Pathar & Dhalwas sections.

During this period, from Tuesday 8 am to Wednesday 8 am, commuters are strongly advised to avoid travel on the affected highway. The closure aligns with safety protocols and is crucial for the ongoing road enhancement efforts.

The deputy commissioner emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety, stating, “In line with safety protocols, a 24-hour traffic halt is scheduled on Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 tomorrow 06.02.2024 (Tuesday) from 8 AM to 8 AM on 07.02.2024 (Wednesday) for road widening at Kishtwari Pathar & Dhalwas. For safety, avoid travel during this period. Plan your journeys wisely and prioritize safety” (WD).
