Sopore Seminary Tutor Arrested on Charges of Assaulting Minors

Srinagar, Dec 20 (WD): A seminary tutor in the Baramulla area of Sopore has been arrested following allegations of assaulting minors, as confirmed by a police official.

The official informed a Wattan Daily reporter that upon receiving a complaint regarding the reported sexual assault, the police apprehended the seminary tutor in Sopore.

“After reviewing the information, a case (FIR number 93/2023) under the POCSO Act was registered against the individual at Police Station Dangiwacha Sopore,” stated the official.

“We are gathering additional details on the case and will disclose them at the appropriate time,” the official added.
