Schools To Remain Closed in parts of Kashmir Parts Amid inclement weather
In response to inclement weather and flood warnings, several administrations in northern Kashmir have taken precautionary measures by suspending classwork in various schools on Monday. The Kupwara administration, citing avalanche warnings from JKDMA, announced the suspension of classwork district-wide. While students stay home for safety, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to report for duty to monitor the situation and safeguard institutional assets.
Similarly, schools in the Uri area of Baramulla have also suspended classwork for the day, extending the precautionary measures to both government and private institutions. The Head of Institutions (HOIs) have been instructed to personally oversee their respective schools to mitigate any potential risks to life or property.
In Bandipora, low-lying schools are included in the suspension of classwork due to the adverse weather conditions and avalanche warnings. As in Kupwara, staff members are expected to fulfill their duties to ensure the safety of school property while students remain at home.
Meanwhile, educational institutions in the Sub Division Gurez have suspended classwork due to snowfall, further emphasizing the priority placed on the safety of students and staff members. These decisions reflect the proactive approach of administrations in mitigating risks during challenging weather conditions.
Despite the disruptions to classwork, the focus remains on maintaining safety and protecting educational assets, highlighting the commitment of authorities to prioritize the well-being of students and staff members in the face of adverse weather conditions and potential hazards.
