Police Seize Illegal Properties Worth Rs.15 Lacs from Notorious Drug Peddler in Baramulla
February 29 (WD) Continuing their crackdown on drug peddlers, the Police in Baramulla have confiscated properties, including a single-story residential house valued at approximately Rs. 15.00 lacs, belonging to notorious drug peddlers. The individual in question is Afroza Begum, also known as Affri, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Dar. She resides in Ganie Hamam, Trumgund Hygam Sopore, District Baramulla.
This action was executed under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985, pertaining to case FIR No. 238/2023 under sections 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Baramulla.
The identified property was determined to have been illegally acquired during the investigation conducted by the Police. It was evidently acquired through illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the said drug peddler.
