Police Seizes Terror  Handlers Properties Worth Crores in North Kashmir

In Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized properties worth crores of rupees belonging to seven terrorist handlers based in Pakistan. According to an official statement obtained by News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the police, after obtaining an attachment order from the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court Baramulla, attached properties totaling 13 Kanals of land.

The properties seized belong to individuals identified as Shabir Ahmad Sofi, Gh Nabi Alaie, Gh Nabi Sheikh, Sharief ud din Chopan, Gulla Sheikh, Mohd Rafiq Khan, and Ab Hameed Parray. These individuals are residents of various locations in Baramulla district.

The seizure was conducted under sections of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) and is linked to a case filed under FIR No.04/2008 under various sections including the Explosive Substances Act, the Ranbir Penal Code, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The action taken by the police is a result of an investigation/enquiry conducted, during which the properties were identified as belonging to the terrorist handlers. The attachment of these properties is aimed at disrupting the financial networks supporting terrorist activities in the region.

This move underscores the ongoing efforts of the security forces to crack down on terrorism and its support networks.
