Outside Labourer Died in North Kashmir, Report

A tragic incident unfolded in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday, claiming the life of a resident from Uttar Pradesh. During the night of March 4th and 5th, a fire erupted within the premises of the “Big Boss” shopping complex, which is owned by Sonaullah Mir, son of Mukhtar Mir, a local resident of Batergam near Gulgam in Kupwara.

Among the tenants of the complex was Feroz Ahmad, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh and operated an Embroidery shop within the premises. Unfortunately, he lost his life in the blaze that engulfed the complex.

Efforts to contain the fire were swiftly initiated by fire tender personnel and the police, who worked diligently to bring the situation under control.

Despite their efforts, the intensity of the fire led to devastating consequences, resulting in the loss of Feroz Ahmad’s life. Following the tragic incident, the authorities intervened, swiftly moving the deceased’s body to SDH Kupwara for necessary medico-legal procedures.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of the fire, investigations are now underway to ascertain the cause behind the devastating blaze. The incident has left a somber atmosphere in the region, with residents mourning the loss of life and grappling with the impact of the tragedy.

The unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the importance of fire safety measures and the need for heightened vigilance to prevent such devastating incidents in the future.
