Minor girl drowns in pond, dies, in North kashmir
March 8 (WD) In Bandipora district, a tragic incident unfolded on Friday afternoon as a 3-year-old girl lost her life after drowning in a water pond. The young victim, identified as Dua Zehra, the daughter of Kifayat Hussain from Peth Mohalla Harinara, met with the unfortunate accident.
Upon receiving information about the drowning incident, authorities swiftly initiated a rescue operation to retrieve the minor from the water pond. Despite their efforts, Dua Zehra could not be saved, and she was rushed to the Trauma Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, the doctors at the hospital declared her as brought dead upon arrival.
Following the heartbreaking turn of events, the minor girl’s body was handed over to her family for the necessary last rites. The community in Bandipora is left in shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of Dua Zehra, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and safety measures around water bodies, especially for young children.
