Man Found Dead With Throat Slit in North Kashmir

Kupwara, May 27 (WD): In a tragic incident, a 50-year-old man was found dead on Monday morning with his throat slit at his residence in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Hamid Khan, son of Gulla Khan, a laborer from Mir Muqam Awoora.

Reports reaching News Agency wattan Daily reveal that Abdul Hamid Khan was discovered with deep cut marks on his throat. The gruesome discovery was made by family members who immediately alerted the authorities.

A police officer informed News Agency Wattan daily that a case has been registered in this regard. The officer stated that an investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Abdul Hamid Khan.

The police promptly visited the scene of the incident and conducted a thorough examination of the area. They have removed the body for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The officer mentioned that after completing the legal and medical formalities, the body of Abdul Hamid Khan would be handed over to his family. The post-mortem report is expected to provide crucial information that could aid the investigation.
