Successful Rescue: 47-Year-Old Emerges Safely from 40-ft Deep Well in Tangmarg Village
Srinagar, Dec 28: In a triumphant culmination to an arduous eight-month rescue operation, a 47-year-old man has been safely extracted from a 40-ft deep well in the Tangmarg area of Baramulla.
An official from F&ES expressed gratitude for the successful outcome, stating, “We faced challenging conditions in the bone-chilling cold but managed to bring the man out, who had fallen into the well while cleaning, as per his family.”
“Upon receiving the distress call, we promptly mobilized resources and initiated a collaborative operation with the Police and local residents,” the official continued.
After an intense eight-hour rescue effort, the man was successfully retrieved from the well, and he has been admitted to the hospital for necessary treatment, the official added.
Meanwhile, the family and locals extend their heartfelt thanks to F&ES, the Police, and the community for their combined efforts in ensuring the safe extraction of the man from the well.
