Man Dies of Electrocution in Bandipora Village

A man died due to electrocution in Ashtengoo Ghat village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday morning.

The man received an electric shock near his home in the Ashtengoo Ghat area this morning.

The man has been identified as Javid Ahmad Mathanji, son of Abdul Sataar Mathanji, a resident of Ashtengoo Ghat.

Javid was shifted to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The cause of death was an electric shock, officials confirmed.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and are investigating the incident.

After completing medico-legal formalities, the body will be handed over to the family.
