Man dies after falling from walnut tree in North Kashmir
An elderly man tragically lost his life after falling from a walnut tree in the Karnah sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when the 48-year-old man, identified as Qalamdin Khatana, son of Mohammad Khatana from Draged Karnah, fell from a tree near his residence and sustained critical injuries.
Upon receiving the news, he was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to the sub-district hospital in Tangdar. Despite efforts to save him, doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Following the necessary legal and medical procedures, the authorities handed over the deceased’s body to his family for the final rites. The loss of Qalamdin Khatana has undoubtedly left a void in his community and family.
