Man arrested for allegedly raping his daughter, know more details

A man, identified as Mohammad Bashir Chowdhary, has been apprehended by the police in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, on charges of allegedly raping his daughter. The accused, the son of Syed Mohammad and a resident of Panglar village in Khawas Rajouri, was taken into custody following a complaint received by Police Post Teryath.
Officials stated that the action was initiated based on the complaint, revealing that a 17-year-old girl had been subjected to sexual abuse by her own father. The police have acknowledged the matter, and a case has been registered under FIR No. 08/2024 U/Ss 376, 506 IPC, 4/6 POCSO Act at PS Dharamsal.
The arrested individual, Mohammad Bashir Chowdhary, is now in police custody, and legal proceedings are underway as per the law. The incident has stirred anger within the community, prompting demands for stringent action against the accused.
