Landlords Booked for Non-Compliance with Tenant Verification in Samba

This action was taken after several instances of anti-national elements posing as tenants and domestic help were reported in Jammu.

A verification process was initiated to address this issue, leading to the registration of 11 cases at various police stations in Samba.

The cases were registered at Samba, Vijaypur, and Rajpura police stations.

The Samba district magistrate had previously issued orders for landlords to undergo police verification of their tenants.

Despite this, some landlords failed to comply, resulting in the registration of cases against them.

The police are now appealing to residents to come forward and provide complete details of their tenants.

Landlords are urged to get their tenants verified at their nearest police station.
