Khambiyar Pattan Tragedy: Fire Claims Life and Damages Homes

Srinagar, Jan 22: In a devastating incident on Monday, a man lost his life and two residential houses suffered partial damage due to a fire outbreak in Khambiyar Pattan, North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. According to an official statement received by news agency Insight Kashmir, the fire originated during the night in the residence of Bashir Ahmad Dar. The blaze consumed the entire rooftop of Bashir Ahmad Dar’s house, and in close proximity, the roof of another house belonging to Asadullah Ganaie was partially gutted by the flames.

Aadil Ahmad Dar (26), son of Late Mohammad Ramzan Dar and resident of Khambiyar, was tragically found burnt amidst the ruins of his home’s rooftop. Authorities have transported the deceased to GMC Baramulla for medico-legal formalities, attributing the apparent cause of the fire to an electric short circuit.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine further details surrounding the tragic event.
