JK Police Seize Property of Militant Handler in North Kashmir

In a significant development, police in Baramulla have attached property worth lacs belonging to a terror handler based in Pakistan. The attachment order was obtained from the Hon’ble Court of Sub Judge Uri, enabling the authorities to take action against the individual identified as Adrees Ahmad Mir, son of Shakar Din Mir, hailing from Singtung Gowhallan Uri, District Baramulla. The attached property includes 6 Kanals & 10 Marlas of land, valued at a substantial amount.

This action was initiated under sections of 83 CRPC and is related to case FIR No.91/1998 under section 2/3 EIMCO Act of Police Station Uri. The property was identified during the investigation/enquiry conducted by the police and was found to be linked to an absconder involved in terror activities. The authorities are cracking down on individuals associated with unlawful activities, especially those operating from across the border in Pakistan.

It is noteworthy that this recent attachment is part of a larger effort by the police in Baramulla, as they have already attached 46 kanals of land belonging to 11 terror handlers who are currently based in Pakistan. This proactive approach by the law enforcement agencies aims to disrupt the networks supporting terrorism and hold accountable those involved in such activities.
