Jammu Srinagar national highway Traffic Update
March 4 (WD) Authorities have announced that the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH) will be open for one-way traffic, prioritizing the safety of commuters due to the poor road conditions caused by heavy rains.
Traffic movement had been halted on the highway in recent days due to landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones. However, starting Monday, only one-way traffic will be permitted on the highway.
According to an official statement to News Agency Kashmir Scroll, light motor vehicles are allowed to travel up to Nagrota until 12 PM. Beyond this time, no vehicles will be permitted to proceed further.
This measure aims to manage the traffic flow efficiently and reduce the risk of accidents or delays.
Travellers planning to use the Jammu-Srinagar highway are advised to check the road’s status before embarking on their journey.
