March 1 (WD) Weather Advisory: The Meteorological Department has forecasted snowfall in J&K’s high reaches and heavy rainfall on NH-44 for the upcoming days. Travelers are urged to avoid hilly roads/NH-44 without confirmation from Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
Road Conditions (28-02-2024 to 29-02-2024): Repair work at Dalwas caused a 1 hour 15-minute blockage on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Slow movement and single lane traffic were observed due to breakdowns and poor road conditions between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.Travel Advisory: Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer daytime travel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW due to the risk of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal during night hours.

HMVs Advisory: Operators/Owners are reminded to avoid overloading, ensure vehicle fitness, and carry sufficient fuel. HMVs with 06 and 10 tyres are permitted through Dhar road.
Traffic Plan for 01-03-2024: Due to road conditions, only one-way traffic from Srinagar to Jammu shall be allowed on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. LMVs can travel from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) from 0600 to 1300 hrs, with HMVs permitted until 1800 hrs.
SFs Convoy Movement: Security Forces are urged to adhere to the traffic plan to avoid congestion. Tomorrow, convoys may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming road status from TCU Ramban.
