Sopore, Jun 19 (WD): An intense encounter has erupted between terrorists and security forces in the Rafiabad area of Sopore in Baramulla district this Wednesday. The confrontation has resulted in heightened tensions across the region, as both sides exchange fire.

An official from the Wattan daily (WD) stated that a joint team comprising the Police, Army, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) initiated a cordon and search operation in Lyser, Hadipora, located within the Rafiabad jurisdiction of Sopore. This operation was based on intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
