Four Laborers Injured by Rolling Stone at Pishu Top, South Kashmir

In a tragic incident, four laborers from Kupwara were injured after being struck by a rolling stone at Pishu Top in Pahalgam, Anantnag. The incident took place on Sunday evening, causing immediate concern and necessitating prompt medical response.

According to official sources, the injured have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Khan, son of Noor Mohd Khan, from Hyhama Kupwara; Tanveer Ahmad Khatana, son of Mehboob Ahmad Khatana, from Awoora Kupwara; Naseer Ahmad Bajad, son of Abdul Hamid Bajad, from Magam Handwara; and Jahangir Ahmad Cheechi, son of Mohd Shafi Cheechi, from Tarthpora Kupwara. All four laborers were quickly evacuated to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Pahalgam for initial treatment.

The severity of the injuries varied among the victims. Tariq Ahmad Khan and Tanveer Ahmad Khatana were found to be in critical condition and were subsequently referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura in Srinagar for advanced medical care. Their transfer indicates the seriousness of their injuries and the need for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the other two injured laborers, Naseer Ahmad Bajad and Jahangir Ahmad Cheechi, are still receiving treatment at PHC Pahalgam. Their condition is being closely monitored by the medical staff, who are providing the necessary care to ensure their recovery.
