Father-Son Duo Among Three Killed in Jammu Kashmir Road Accident
A devastating accident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Sunday, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving five others injured.
The incident took place near Chalan village, where a cab fell off a hilly road while traveling from Thandikassi to Lam.
Rescue efforts were launched immediately, but unfortunately, the vehicle’s driver, Arun Kumar (32), a resident of Lam, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two more individuals, Mohd Din (65) and his son Mohammad Aslam (40), succumbed to their injuries at the Nowshera Sub-District Hospital and Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in Rajouri, respectively.
Aslam’s family members, including his wife Shahida (40), sons Atif (10) and Raza (5), daughter Asiya (7), and sister Zareena (36), are currently undergoing treatment at the GMCH.
The condition of the injured is reported to be “serious,” and medical staff are providing them with the necessary care and attention.
This heartbreaking incident has left the community in shock and has highlighted the importance of road safety, particularly on hilly and winding roads.
