Encounter Update,One Militant Body Recovered, Ops on

Srinagar, June 23: Security forces recovered the body of a terrorist on Sunday during an ongoing anti-infiltration operation in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This operation is part of continuous efforts to prevent terrorist infiltration across the Line of Control (LoC).

An official stated, “A dead body of the terrorist was recovered today while the search for the other dead terrorist is going on.” The search operation is still active in the area, indicating that the security forces are diligently working to clear any remaining threats.

The anti-infiltration operation commenced on Saturday when a group of intruding terrorists was intercepted by security forces near the LoC in the Uri sector. In the ensuing encounter, at least two militants were killed.

However, the recovery of the bodies faced challenges due to their proximity to the LoC. The official explained that the dead bodies of the two terrorists could not be retrieved on Saturday as they were lying close to the heavily guarded and sensitive LoC area.

Uri, a region close to the LoC, has frequently been a target for infiltration attempts by terrorists. Security forces in the area remain on high alert to thwart any such efforts and ensure the safety of the region.

The ongoing operation underscores the persistent threats faced by security forces in this volatile region and their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security. These operations are crucial in preventing terrorist activities and protecting the local population.

Efforts are being made to locate the second militant’s body while continuing the search for any additional threats. The official emphasized the importance of these operations in eliminating the infiltration threat and maintaining regional stability.

The recovery of the terrorist’s body is a significant step in this operation, highlighting the ongoing dangers of infiltration attempts. Security forces remain dedicated to neutralizing any threats and securing the region for its residents.
