Breaking News; Coil Based Heaters & Blowers banned in J&K, MD KDPCL issues order

Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has reinforced its directive to strictly enforce the ban on the use of Nichrome-wire crude heaters. The ban extends to manufacturing, importing, transporting, selling, purchasing, or using Nichrome Coil-based crude heaters, boilers, and steamers due to non-compliance with required specifications.
In a recent communication, KPDCL urged Electric Divisions to actively implement the government order. They are instructed to circulate the directive among electrical business outlets, advising them against procuring or selling such heating gadgets. Failure to comply may result in seizure of these items.
The communication also encourages district administrations to ensure the enforcement of the government orders in their respective areas. This aims to permanently remove Nichrome Coil-based heaters, boilers, and steamers from the markets and curb their availability.
