Big Update Regarding Summer Vacation And New School Timing, Check here
The School Education Department in Kashmir has announced a significant change in school timing for all classes, effective immediately.
The new timing will be from 8 am to 1 pm, a change from the previous schedule, to help students and staff cope with the ongoing heatwave in the region.
It’s important to note that there will be no extension in summer vacations, and the regular break will continue as scheduled, despite the change in school timing.
This decision was made in response to numerous requests from parents and stakeholders, who were concerned about the impact of the heat on students’ health and well-being.
According to the weather forecast, the hot weather conditions are expected to continue in the coming days, making this change necessary to ensure students’ comfort and safety.
The new timing will apply to all government and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Kashmir Division, covering both rural and urban areas.
Teaching and non-teaching staff are expected to attend their duties from 8 am to 2 pm, allowing for a smooth transition and adequate preparation time.
This arrangement will continue until August 10, 2024, and the department will review the situation before then to determine if further adjustments are needed.
