Baramulla Doctor becomes first Kashmiri to Buy piece of Land on Moon

Dr. Kousar Bakshi, a doctor from Baramulla in North Kashmir, recently made history by becoming the first person from Kashmir and the second overall in Jammu and Kashmir to purchase a piece of land on the moon. Dr. Bakshi, who is also the CEO of ARML Labs in Handwara, received official communication from the Lunar Registry confirming the success of his bid.
According to the registered claim, Dr. Bakshi is now recognized as the legitimate owner of a property situated at Mare Tranquillitatis (Sea of Tranquillity) with coordinates 8.35 degrees North Latitude and 30.85 degrees East Longitude, specifically in Tract 34, Parcel 21024.
Expressing his joy over this achievement, Dr. Bakshi shared that he applied for the bid on July 6, 2023, and received confirmation that his bid was successful as of September 12, 2023. He stated, “I am quite happy to become the first from the Valley to make it…” Dr. Bakshi, known for running a highly regarded testing lab in North Kashmir, highlighted the significance of this milestone in his career.
