Attack on former cop, act of cowardice, insult to a worship place: Tarun Chugh

Tarun Chugh, BJP national general secretary, vehemently condemned a reprehensible incident in Baramulla where terrorists shot and killed a retired police officer, Mohammed Shafi, during prayer at a mosque. Chugh described the attack as both cowardly and a blatant insult to the sanctity of the religious place.

Expressing deep concern, Chugh emphasized the severity of the crime, highlighting the shameful act of targeting an individual, especially a former SP, during Azan. He underscored the desperation displayed by the militants and asserted that such attacks on places of worship demand severe consequences.

In no uncertain terms, Chugh stated that those responsible for this heinous act will face heavy repercussions, emphasizing the gravity of attacking individuals within the sacred confines of a place of worship- WattanDaily (WD).
