AC approves transfer of 3188 Kanals for development of Industrial Estates across J&K

The Administrative Council, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, met in Srinagar on July 26 to discuss proposals for land transfer.

The council approved the transfer of 3188 kanals and 8 marlas of land to the Industries and Commerce Department.

This land will be used for the development of Industrial Estates in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The transferred land parcels include 114 kanals and 03 marlas in Kupwara, 1000 kanals in Bandipora, and 1094 kanals and 16 marlas in Anantnag.

Additionally, 375 kanals and 06 marlas in Pulwama, 240 kanals in Baramulla, and 364 kanals and 03 marlas in Budgam were also transferred.

The development of industrial infrastructure has been a priority since 2019, aiming to accelerate economic activity and create employment opportunities.

The Industries and Commerce Department has initiated various projects to establish industries in J&K, and the transferred land will enable the setup of Industrial Estates.

This move is expected to contribute to the overall development of the area and generate numerous employment opportunities.
