5 Children, Policeman Among 8 dead in Road Accident in

Tragedy struck in Anantnag today when a vehicle carrying passengers from Kishtwar to Daksum met with a fatal accident.

The vehicle, a Wagon-R with registration number JK03H 9017, fell into a deep gorge near Sinthan Top, resulting in the loss of eight precious lives.

According to officials, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the devastating crash.

The deceased include Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Rasool Rather, and his wife Afroza Begum, residents of Hynam Changer Madwa Kishtwar.

The official confirmed that eight occupants of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries in the accident.

The bodies of the deceased are currently at SDH Kokernag for necessary medico-legal formalities.

The incident has sent shockwaves of grief and sadness to the families of the victims and the entire community.
