Centre Bans Tehreek-e-Hurriyat for 5 years, Union Home Minister posts on X

New Delhi, Dec 31 (WD):
The Centre, on December 31, announced a five-year ban on Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, J&K under UAPA. Home Minister Amit Shah, in a post on X, stated that the outfit is implicated in prohibited activities aiming to detach J&K from India and establish Islamic rule.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to Prime Minister Modi’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. Shah warned that any individual or organization involved in anti-India activities would face immediate intervention under this stringent approach.
