Additional forces deployed in Poonch as search for militants continues in Rajouri.
- Increased Security in Poonch: Additional security forces were deployed in Poonch following an ambush on two Army vehicles in the Dera ki Gali forested terrain. The attackers, heavily armed terrorists from across the border, led to the tragic loss of four Army personnel and injuries to three others last week.
- Extended Deployment in Bafliaz: Alongside the ongoing search operation in Dera ki Gali, additional forces were dispatched to the Bafliaz area of Poonch district. This strategic move aims to bolster security measures in the region affected by the recent terrorist attack.
- Wreath-laying Ceremony in Rajouri: The fallen soldiers, Naik Birender Singh, Rifleman Gautam Kumar, Naik Karan Kumar, and Rifleman Chandan Kumar, were honored in a tearful wreath-laying ceremony in Rajouri on Sunday. The ceremony paid tribute to their sacrifice in the line of duty.
