Winter Vacation Extended for Jammu Schools, Check details

Jammu, Jan 06 (WD):

The Directorate of School Education, Jammu and Kashmir, has extended the winter vacations for Government and Private recognized schools in the Summer Zones of Jammu Division, as per Order No. 22-DSEJ of 2024, dated 06-01-2024. This decision is made in response to the prevailing extreme cold weather conditions, with a primary focus on ensuring the well-being of students.

The original mandate for winter vacations was outlined in Order No.1354-DSEJ of 2023, dated: 18-12-2023. The recent extension prolongs the break until 12-01-2024. While students enjoy the extended holiday, teaching staff is expected to resume duties from 08-01-2024. During this extended period, Heads of Institutions (HOIs) are directed to organize online classes for students in grades 10th to 12th.

It is emphasized by the Directorate that strict adherence to these instructions is crucial. Any laxity from Government or Private Schools will be viewed seriously and dealt with according to rules. This underscores the commitment to both the safety of students and the continuity of education through online platforms, showcasing the adaptability of educational institutions in challenging weather conditions.
