DSEJ Unveils Phased Winter Vacation Plan, Online Classes for Class 10 and 12
Srinagar, Dec 08: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced a phased winter vacation plan for winter zones, effective from December 11 to February 29. This decision covers all government and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary Level in the winter zone of Jammu Division.
As per the official order from DSEJ, students up to 8th standard will observe winter vacations from December 11, 2023, to February 29, 2024. Meanwhile, students from 9th to 12th standard will enjoy their winter break from December 18 to February 29.
In a move to facilitate continued learning, the DSEJ directed Chief Education Officers to ensure the provision of online classes for Class 10 and 12 through Cluster Resource Centers (CRC’s). This step aims to maintain educational continuity during the winter break.
The directive also mandates teaching staff to return to their respective schools on February 21, ensuring their availability for making arrangements related to upcoming examinations. Teachers are expected to remain accessible for any online guidance required by students throughout the vacation period.
The statement issued by DSEJ emphasizes that any lapses in adherence to the instruction schedule by Heads of Schools or Teaching staff will result in strict actions under established rules. It reflects the commitment to maintaining educational standards even during the winter break, fostering a seamless academic experience for students.
