Rahul Gandhi Urges PM for Discussion on NEET Irregularities in Parliament

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold a respectful discussion in Parliament on the alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.

Gandhi addressed reporters in the Parliament complex, stating that the NEET issue should be discussed before the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address is taken up.

The NEET issue is the most important issue of the day, and opposition parties have agreed that it should be taken up for discussion before anything else, Gandhi said.

The youth are worried and uncertain about their future, and a message of assurance should come from Parliament that the government and opposition are together in raising the concerns of students, Gandhi added.

Gandhi requested the Prime Minister to join the discussion, saying that the INDIA bloc considers this the most important matter.

All opposition floor leaders unanimously felt that there should be a discussion on the NEET issue in Parliament, Gandhi said, referring to their meeting on Thursday.

Gandhi assured students that the INDIA bloc considers their issue the most important, as they are India’s future.

The NEET exam was conducted on May 5, with around 24 lakh candidates taking part, but was followed by allegations of question paper leaks and other irregularities.
