The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has published the final selection list for 1200 Sub-Inspector Police posts in the UT Cadre. This release, dated January 8, 2024, falls under Notification No. 01-Selection of 2024. The initial advertisement for these posts was made on October 21, 2021, via Notification No. 06 of 2021.
Out of the 1200 advertised positions, 1102 candidates have successfully secured a place in the final selection list. The remaining 98 posts have been reserved for further examination. The selection process involved assessments such as a written test, physical standard test, physical endurance test, and document verification. Candidates holding NCC certificates received additional weightage in the selection process.
It is crucial to note that the final selection list is contingent upon the resolution of any writ petitions or court cases involving recommended candidates that may be pending in competent courts. As part of the post-selection process, candidates are advised to submit their personal verification details to the appointing authority within 21 days. Failure to comply within this timeframe may result in the forfeiture of their appointment.
