Transfers and Postings of JKAS Officers in Jammu & Kashmir Government
J&K Government Initiates Comprehensive Administrative Changes
Srinagar, December 31 (WD): Today, the Jammu and Kashmir government implemented a wide-reaching series of transfers and postings, reassigning administrative officers across the state.
According to Government Order No.1695-JK(GAD) from the General Administration Department, numerous IAS and JKAS officers are taking on new roles in this administrative reshuffle.
Mr. Owais Mushtaq, JKAS, formerly the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Pulwama district, now steps into the position of Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD) in Kupwara district, filling a vacant role.
Mr. Mohammad Ashraf, JKAS, the previous General Manager of District Industries Centre (DIC) Kishtwar, assumes the role of the new Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Marwah, with additional responsibilities as Sub-Registrar, Marwah, and continuing as GM, DIC Kishtwar.
Mr. Nagesh Singh, JKAS, previously awaiting posting, takes on the role of the new Deputy District Election Officer in Kathua district, succeeding Mr. Hamidullah Mir, JKAS, the former Deputy DEO Kathua, who now transitions to the position of Deputy DEO Kupwara.
In Udhampur district, Mr. Salam Din, JKAS, the current District Mineral Officer, now adds the additional responsibility of Collector, Land Acquisition (Defence) to his existing duties.
The government order highlights that these transfers aim to enhance effective administrative functioning and ensure governance at the grassroots level. (WD)
