Vande Bharat train in Kashmir

In a significant development for Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Railways has taken a momentous step by assigning the Vande Bharat train to the region, as disclosed by officials on Tuesday. This move is poised to enhance the connectivity and transportation infrastructure in the area. The Vande Bharat train, characterized by its 8 coaches and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, is set to operate on the 272-km Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link. This rail link, though currently under construction in parts, holds the promise of facilitating smoother travel across the region.
A senior railway official shared this information with Wattan Daily, underscoring the distinctive features of the Vande Bharat train. Additionally, the official mentioned that the launch of the train service on the Jammu-Srinagar railway line is expected to take place in the coming year. This development signifies a notable stride in bolstering the transportation network and accessibility for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
