PM Modi Applauds Kashmiri Milk Vendor Nazia Nazir for Exemplary Contributions

New Delhi December 10:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently engaged in a video conference with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), where he lauded the enthusiasm and resilience of Nazia Nazir, a Kashmiri milk vendor. He expressed, “Your enthusiasm is a source of strength for me,” acknowledging the spirited efforts of individuals like Nazia in contributing to the development of their communities.

During the interaction, Nazia Nazir, who hails from Sheikh Pura, Jammu and Kashmir, shared insights into her family life. Her husband works as an auto driver, and her two children attend government schools in the region. This personal touch to the conversation allowed the Prime Minister to connect on a deeper level with the grassroots realities faced by citizens.

Nazia Nazir attributed positive changes in her village to the Jal Jeevan Mission, which facilitated the provision of clean and safe tapped water supply, effectively addressing longstanding water issues. She also expressed gratitude for the benefits derived from various government schemes, including gas connections under Ujjwala Yojna, quality education in government schools, and the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for five years.

Highlighting the impact of the VBSY initiative in her village, Nazia emphasized its integration with Kashmiri culture, becoming a symbol of positive change. Prime Minister Modi, delighted by the interaction, underscored his confidence in the women power of Kashmir, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping the region’s future.

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister emphasized that the collective efforts of such initiatives ensure a bright future for the new generations. He expressed satisfaction at the nationwide participation in development endeavors and commended the contributions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing the notion of a united and progressive India.
