The National Testing Agency (NTA) is organizing the UGC NET December 2023 exam on December 6, 2023, with two shifts scheduled. Candidates must be present at the exam hall by 8:30 am for the first shift and 2:30 pm for the second shift.
To enter the exam center, candidates need the UGC NET Admit Card 2023, accessible on ugcnet.nta.ac.in. It is imperative to carry a valid photo ID matching the application details. Acceptable IDs include Aadhaar Card, Employee ID, Govt./University/College ID, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Passport. PwD category applicants must carry a relevant certificate.
The UGC NET Exam Pattern 2023 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 involves Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no negative marking. Paper 1 is for 100 marks, Paper 2 for 200 marks, and each question carries 2 marks. The online exam duration is 3 hours.
Candidates can choose subjects for Paper 2, such as political science, philosophy, geography, history, Indian culture, law, commerce, etc. Paper 1 is uniform, assessing general awareness of the learning process in higher education and teaching abilities.
