Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has announced the nationwide re-release of his 2018 film ‘Laila Majnu’ on August 9, 2024.

The film, starring Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri, will hit the screens again after garnering a cult status over the years.

‘Laila Majnu’ is a modern-day adaptation of the classic folklore, written and presented by Imtiaz Ali and directed by his brother Sajid Ali.

The film received a lukewarm response at the box office initially but has since gained a loyal fan base.

Imtiaz Ali expressed his gratitude to fans on Instagram, thanking them for their love and support that led to the film’s re-release.

The film was re-released in Srinagar on August 2 and will now be screened in cinemas nationwide.
