The Kashmir Valley, known for its pleasant summer climate, is experiencing an unusual spike in temperatures this year, breaking records after decades.

The Meteorological Department has reported that this rise is significantly above the average, causing discomfort among the residents and is expected to continue for the next few days.

The soaring temperatures have disrupted daily life, with people trying to stay indoors during peak heat hours. Markets and streets that usually bustle with activity are noticeably quieter as residents seek shade and hydration to cope with the heat.

Farmers in the region are worried about the impact of the heat wave on their crops. The rise in temperature could affect the growth of various crops, potentially leading to reduced yields.

Health experts have issued advisories urging people to take precautions against heat-related illnesses. They recommend staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight, wearing light clothing, and taking breaks in cool environments when working outside.

The Meteorological Department has indicated that the current heat wave could persist for the next few days. The heat wave in Kashmir serves as a reminder of the changing climate patterns affecting the region.
