Weather Update, More Rain & Snowfall is Expected in J&K From
Advises public against venturing out near rivers, streams and other water bodies during next 2-3 days
Srinagar 18 Apr (WD): With the overcast weather prevailing over J&K, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Thursday predicted more rains in the UT after a brief hiatus in it.
As per the news agency Wattan Daily, a weatherman from the MeT said that light to moderate rain or snow at most places accompanied with thunder would be observed over higher reaches of J&K during 18th-19th of April.
Many places in the UT would receive light rainfall on Saturday (20th April), said the weatherman.
From 21st to 25th of this month, the weather was said to remain “generally dry”, with afternoon thundershower at isolated places.
Besides, the MeT also predicted a light precipitation over J&K’s many places during 26th-27th of April.
“Farmers are advised to resume farm operations after the 21st of April,” said the weatherman, adding that surface transportation would likely be hit by a temporary disruption on Friday (19th April).
The weatherman also advised the general public against venturing out near rivers, streams and other water bodies during the next two-three days. (WD)
