Accident in J&K 5 dead, 4 Critically injured, Identified
In a devastating accident in Phagsoo, Doda, a Maruti Suzuki Eco vehicle carrying passengers met with a fatal collision, resulting in the loss of five lives and leaving four others injured. The incident occurred at Khanpura, Phagsoo, under the jurisdiction of Thathri sub-division, Doda district, on Saturday evening around 7:15 PM.
According to reports from the Wattan Daily (WD), the vehicle was en route from Thathri to Khanpura Phagsoo when the accident took place. The impact of the collision was severe, leading to immediate fatalities and injuries among the occupants of the vehicle.
Subsequently, emergency responders rushed to the scene, transporting the injured individuals to the Sub-District Hospital Thathri for medical assistance. Tragically, despite efforts, two individuals were declared dead upon arrival, while three others succumbed to their injuries shortly after admission.
The deceased have been identified as Mukhtiyar Ahmed, Mohd Amir, a baby girl, Riyaz Ahmed, Ireena Begum, and Mohd Rafi. Additionally, four individuals have been reported injured, including Sufiyan Sheikh, a baby girl, and Saima Begum, who are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
