J&K Bank’s mPay surpasses Rs 1000 crore Transaction in a day Before Eid
Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s digital prowess has garnered widespread acclaim ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, as its mPay channel soared past the remarkable milestone of processing transactions worth over Rs 1000 crore in a single day, setting a historic precedent. With an astounding 493,598 transactions amounting to Rs 3230.77 crore, the bank’s digital platform witnessed an unprecedented surge in activity during the festive period.
Branch transactions also made substantial contributions, totaling Rs 9586 crore over four days, even amidst two public holidays. As Eid-ul-Fitr approached, J&K Bank’s digital channels facilitated an extraordinary total of Rs 11,000 crore in transactions, showcasing the bank’s dedication to providing efficient digital banking services.
A spokesperson for J&K Bank expressed delight at the overwhelming success of their digital initiatives, highlighting the significant milestone achieved by MPay Delight+, which played a pivotal role in the total transactions exceeding Rs 11,000 crore over the past five days.
The record-breaking performance underscores not only the increasing reliance on digital banking solutions but also the bank’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers. With around five crore transactions exceeding Rs 11000 crore across channels in the last five days, J&K Bank’s digital ecosystem has demonstrated its resilience and efficiency.
Branches, particularly in the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, catered to the surge in customer demand, providing uninterrupted banking services and recording impressive transaction figures in the lead-up to Eid ul Fitr.
Social networking platforms buzzed with praise from netizens, applauding the seamless functioning of Mpay Delight Plus and other banking channels like ATMs and e-banking. The successful execution of transactions reflects the culmination of extensive efforts by J&K Bank, including the upgrade of its mobile banking app to withstand massive transactional traffic during significant occasions like Eid.
